The project

Art you can see and feel

Children will create a beautiful raised-texture artwork inspired by Islamic architecture and design. They will explore color, texture, and dimensional art while creating a meaningful decorative piece to display at home.

On the table

What’s included

  • Raised texture paste

Build dimension so the artwork can be seen and felt.

  • Islamic-inspired forms

Arches, stars, and geometric patterns drawn from architecture and design.

  • Color and layering

Explore color over texture to bring the piece to life.

  • A piece for home

Take home a meaningful decorative artwork to display.

How it builds

From flat board to raised design

  1. Start with a board and map a simple Islamic-inspired shape.

  2. Build raised texture — arches, stars, and repeating patterns.

  3. Add color and layered details so the design stands out.

  4. Take home a dimensional artwork ready to display.
