Event Policy & Waiver

Please read this policy carefully before registering. By completing registration and checking the consent box, you (or, for a participant under 18, you on the participant’s behalf) agree to the terms below.

1. About This Policy

This policy applies to Made By Me workshops and events, including single-session and multi-day workshops. The event details shown on the event page, such as dates, times, location, fees, and age requirements, form part of this policy. Where this policy and an event page differ, the event page controls for that specific event.

2. Registration & Payment

Registration is confirmed only after the event fee is paid in full and you receive a confirmation email. Please submit one registration per participant. Registration fees are per participant and cover the entire event as described on the event page. Early registration is encouraged, as places are limited and events may fill before the registration deadline.

3. Attendance & Multi-Day Workshops

For multi-day workshops, a single registration covers all sessions of the event; participants are expected to attend the full program in order to follow the complete learning progression. Missed sessions cannot be made up or refunded. Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time so sessions can begin promptly. If a participant will be late or absent, please notify us at info@madebymellc.com as soon as possible.

4. Tools & Materials

All tools and materials needed for the workshop are provided by Made By Me, unless the event page states otherwise. Where the event page states that participants keep their tools or materials, those items belong to the participant at the end of the event. Studio tools and equipment must be handled with care; participants are responsible for damage caused by misuse.

5. Age Eligibility

Made By Me workshops are open to participants who meet the minimum age stated on each event’s page. Participants under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts this policy on their behalf. Participants must meet the minimum age listed for the event, as content and tools are designed with that age group in mind.

6. Conduct & Safety

All participants are expected to follow staff instructions, treat fellow participants with respect, and use tools and materials safely. Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund. Made By Me maintains a safe, inclusive learning environment and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.

7. Health & Medical

Please disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs that may affect participation during registration. Our staff are trained activity leaders, not medical professionals. In case of illness or injury, staff will provide basic first aid, contact the emergency contact on file, and call 911 if needed. By registering, you authorize emergency medical treatment if the emergency contact cannot be reached.

8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Workshop activities involve hands-on creative work with art tools and materials (which may include cutting tools, paints, inks, adhesives, and other craft supplies) and group activities. You understand these carry a small risk of minor injury (e.g., cuts, scrapes, stains on clothing). You voluntarily assume these risks and, to the fullest extent allowed by law, release Made By Me Studio, its staff, and the event venue from liability for minor injuries arising from normal workshop activities, except in cases of gross negligence.

9. Photos & Media Consent

Made By Me may take photos or video during events for use in studio communications, including our website and social media. By registering, you consent to this use. If you prefer not to appear (or prefer your child not to appear) in photos or video, please notify us in writing at info@madebymellc.com before the event, and we will honor your request.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 48 hours before the event for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable, as staffing and materials are already committed. If Made By Me cancels an event, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your registration to a future event.
